Landside Officer

The Landside Officer is responsible for ensuring customer-oriented service and a smooth flow of arriving and departing passengers and their luggage, from entry into the terminal until exit from the parking areas, and vice versa.

 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring optimal passenger flow within terminal and landside operations.
  • Monitoring and addressing bottlenecks, queues, and operational disruptions, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Performing inspections within terminal and landside areas and reporting irregularities, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Coordinating with outsourced service providers to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Monitoring terminal equipment and facilities, including check-in counters, baggage belts, signage, escalators, elevators, and parking systems.


Qualifications:

  • MAVO diploma or equivalent level of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operational airport function is desirable; experience in logistics and passenger services is an advantage.
  • Strong oral communication skills in Dutch and English; proficiency in Spanish and Papiamento is an advantage.

Unit: Operations
The Landside Officer reports directly to the Landside Operations Manager.
