Human Resources Advisor

As Human Resources Advisor, your role extends well beyond a traditional support function; you serve as a strategic business partner, advisor, and trusted resource for managers and employees alike. You will translate business needs into effective HR solutions, guide leaders through matters ranging from performance management to organizational change, and leverage data to identify trends before they become challenges.

This role is well suited to a professional who values variety, works well with a high degree of autonomy, and is motivated to make a meaningful contribution to a growing organization's people strategy.

 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Act as a trusted HR Business Partner for your assigned departments, building strong relationships with leaders and coaching them through complex people challenges.
  • Drive organizational development initiatives — from restructuring to process improvement — and lead change efforts that are sustainable.
  • Develop and safeguard HR policies, ensuring consistent, compliant application across the organization.
  • Partner with HR Operations on recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning to build a strong talent pipeline for the future.
  • Own complex employee relations cases — grievances, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution — acting as the escalation point for your team.
  • Turn HR data into insight: analyze trends, advise leaders on workforce risks, and help steer data-driven decisions.
  • Champion the employee and manager experience by improving HR touchpoints, onboarding, and engagement initiatives.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications are a plus.
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in an HR advisory, business partnering, or generalist role.
  • Solid knowledge of Aruban labor law, HR compliance, and hands-on case management experience.
  • A sharp analytical mind; comfortable turning HR data into recommendations that matter.
  • Strong coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills; you connect naturally with people at every level of the organization.
  • A proactive, resilient, and empathetic approach; you stay solution-focused, even when things get complex.

The Human Resources Advisor reports directly to the Director Human Resources.
