Apron Controller

As an Apron Controller you ensure a safe and optimal operation of the  Movement area (ICAO Annex 14) and other airside areas in accordance with (inter) national (safety) regulations. You will coordinate the parking activities of aircraft on the aprons, take necessary measures in emergency situations as well as coordination with the Air Traffic Control and execute all required inspections on the airside to ensure high Operational SAFETY.

 

Responsibilities include:

·         Aircraft Movement Coordination;

·         Airside Safety;

·         Aircraft Turnaround Activities:

·         Data input.

 

Requirements:

•                     Associate degree or equivalent degree or experience;

•                     Minimum 2 year of experience in an Airport function;

•                     Good expression skills both in word and writing in Dutch and English. Spanish and Papiamento are desirable;

•                     Driver's license is desirable;

•                     SMGS License and English proficiency levels are required. The training will be on the job and last approximately 6 months. Passing this training is a requirement for the job.

Department: Operations
The Apron Controller reports directly to the Duty Coordinator Operations.
